Installation

For individuals

To install the NitraCloud browser extension as an individual user, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open your Google Chrome browser.
  2. Visit the Chrome Web Store.
  3. In the search bar, type "NitraCloud CMMC & ITAR Compliance".
  4. Click on the NitraCloud extension in the search results.
  5. On the extension's page, click the "Add to Chrome" button.
  6. A pop-up will appear asking for permissions. Review the permissions and click "Add extension" to proceed.
  7. The extension will now download and install automatically.
  8. Once installed, you'll see the NitraCloud icon in your browser's toolbar.

After installation, the extension will be active and ready to use. You may need to refresh any open tabs for the extension to take effect on currently open pages.

For organizations

To deploy the NitraCloud browser extension to your organization, you have several options:

Google Workspace (Chrome Browser Cloud Management)

  1. Sign in to the Google Admin console (admin.google.com) with your administrator account.
  2. Go to Devices > Chrome > Apps & extensions.
  3. Select the organizational unit where you want to deploy the extension.
  4. Click "Add" and choose "Add Chrome app or extension by ID".
  5. Enter the Chrome Web Store ID of the NitraCloud extension.
  6. Set the installation policy to "Force install" and click "Save".

The extension will now be automatically installed for all users in the selected organizational unit.

Alternative Methods

Microsoft Intune (for Microsoft 365 organizations)

  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center.
  2. Go to Apps > All apps > Add.
  3. Select "Windows app (Win32)" as the app type.
  4. Upload the NitraCloud extension package and configure deployment settings.
  5. Assign the app to your desired user groups.

Group Policy (for Windows domains)

  1. Create a Group Policy Object (GPO) in your domain.
  2. Configure the "Configure the list of force-installed apps and extensions" policy.
  3. Add the NitraCloud extension ID to the list of force-installed extensions.
  4. Link the GPO to the appropriate Organizational Units (OUs).

Manual Distribution

For smaller organizations or those without centralized management:

  1. Download the NitraCloud extension package.
  2. Distribute the package to your users via email or internal file sharing.
  3. Provide instructions for manual installation in Chrome:
    • Go to chrome://extensions/
    • Enable "Developer mode"
    • Click "Load unpacked" and select the extension folder
